Changing heating systems is daunting, but you don’t have to navigate the switch alone.

The resources below are a starting point for information on grants available, energy advice servies, suppliers and installers who can help you save and keep your home warm through renewable heating initiatives. Our team is happy to talk you through these options if you need more information.

Heating help

  • The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive grant helps eligible homeowners cover some or all of the cost of installation of certain renewable heating systems.

  • Warmworks and Orkney Islands Council have come together through HEEPS: ABS to install energy-saving improvements in your home.

  • Home Energy Scotland offers advice on how to save energy, reduce bills and stay warm in your home.

ReFLEX Orkney developments

We are working with Shell Energy to be able to provide those with storage heating a competitive 100% renewable tariff. In addition to this we are working on a solution to unlock the flexibility inherent to storage heaters to be able to support the Integrated Energy System in Orkney.
